Top 10 Must Try Restaurants in Maui, Hawaii

Maui has so much to offer and we enjoyed spending 16 days there in June of 2017, as well as other visits in the past. I could’t quite fit all it has to offer into one post so I’m going to split it up into multiple posts. Each one of the restaurants I’m going to share is amazing for a unique reason. These are a combination of my favorite places from my past two trips!

1. 5 Palms Restaurant— It’s sentimental because this is where we had my brother’s wedding reception. However, it’s also incredible! They have the best happy hour, and no I don’t just mean drinks, but their half price sushi and all of their appetizers are AMAZING! It also is right on the beach so the view is perfect (http://www.5palmsrestaurant.com/)

2. Kihei Cafe— Amazing breakfast and every single item on the menu is delicious! We went there multiple times. I would definitely recommend the walnut coconut banana pancakes (http://kiheicaffe.com/).

3. 808 Deli— Perfect to grab something and take it to the beach. Their sandwiches are all yummy and their pesto pasta salad was really good also ( http://www.808deli.com/menu.html).

4. Coconut’s Fish Cafe— OMG can you say killer fish tacos? They were so fresh and incredible. I would have this weekly if I lived on the island (http://www.coconutsfishcafe.com/maui-menu).

5. Flatbread Company Paia— They have such a unique variety of flatbread pizza and a great beer selection! We went 2 times while we were there. It’s perfect for dinner on the way back from adventures (https://www.flatbreadcompany.com/maui/)

6. Lahaina Captain Jacks- We stopped for happy hour while we waited for our dinner somewhere else. We would go back just for dinner since everything we had was really good! (https://www.captainjacksmaui.com/)

7. Da Fish Shack Hana- Inside the town of Hana was a group of different food trucks. We once again got fish tacos and there were great! (https://www.facebook.com/DAFISHSHACK/)

8. Kimo’s Maui- We went for a nice celebration dinner and WOW! The fish, the drinks, the apps, and everything was so so good! Not to mention the perfect sunset and tiki torches to end the evening. (https://www.kimosmaui.com/).

9. Monkeypod Kitchen— Another place where drinks and food is all amazing and unique (https://www.monkeypodkitchen.com/).

10. Drums of the Pacific Luau, Hyatt Maui— Going to a Luau is an absolute MUST whenever you visit any of the Hawaiian Islands. The food is such a unique experience. The price includes unlimited drinks plus you get such a unique glimpse of the culture (http://drumsofthepacificmaui.com/).

Also I don’t need to mention a specific place because they are all good, but when in Maui you must have shave ice. Whether you have it with ice cream or just the tropical syrup flavors, or azuki beans, they are all delicious and each is amazing in it’s own way!

These are some of my favorites menu items: first- Coconut’s Fish Cafe fish tacos, second- Kihei Cafe pancakes, third- Local Boy Snack Shack shave ice, fourth- Drums of the Pacific drink, fifth- Kihei Cafe eggs benedict, and sixth- Da Fish Shack fried fish.
